Long Time No See!!!!

Hi

I'm so sorry for my long disappearing act, so much has changed over the last year or so, I am yet again another year older, after celebrating my birthday the Friday just gone, it's now my last year of my 20's, the big 30 next year eek!!!.

Well what have I been up to??? well I am 2 and a half stone lighter, and also 2 dress sizes smaller, I'm only half way there with my weight loss but I will keep going, I now go to Zumba at least once a week, I'm hoping to go back twice a week as that did help me greatly with the weight loss. I was a bridesmaid for the 1st time for my best friend in September hence the weight loss, my other best friend got married the week after which was a very busy month. I have also been crafting, not as much as I would of liked mind you.

I also have a god son now, his name is Jacob and he is just over 1yrs old, he is just adorable and I love him to bits.

I have also attended another craft retreat this is the fourth one i have attended, its a brilliant weekend spent with some lovely and very very talented ladies that I am so glad to call my friends. Normally I don't get much crafting done as i am fascinated by what everyone else is creating, however i managed to make 5 cards this time round, during the course of the weekend a number of challenges are set, which are designed to push our boundaries and try different techniques and styles.

I will show you the cards I made

This challenge was where we were in a group of 5, you started off the card after 10 minutes, we had to pass the card to our left this carried on through us all and then you finished it off once you get your card blank back. It was brilliant to see how everyone's cards turned out as we all have different styles, I'm pleased with mine.

Papers are Claire Curds
everything else is from other people's stash

This challenge was a sketch challenge set.

The papers are First Edition
Pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts

This challenge was set where we had to make a card 8x8 size as a minimum, I am use to making 6x6 so this was a challenge, we also had a set of instructions, we had to use acetate, use the stamp we had been given and also have a number of embellishments.
Papers are Kanban
Ribbon from stash
Sentiment- craft work cards
Hearts - Martha Stewart punch
Image- Saturated Canary

This was a challenge where we had to make a triple step card, I used three different sizes of Nestiblities to create my card, I will be making more of this style I loved creating it.

Circles - Spellbinders Nestibilities
Flowers- Woodware punches
Image- Kanban

This card I made myself, no challenge for this one, I can't remember the name of this style of card, you can't tell from the image but the card pops open and the image is at the back, the front has a hole cut out so the image can be seen.

papers- I cant remember sorry

Right then that's enough of me boring you to tears, sorry for the very very long post!!!!
