I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guy I'm really really sorry for abandoning you all for the last two months but yes i am still around unfortunately i have had a nightmare couple of months, I'm glad to say everything is getting back to normal and hopefully i wont have to abandon you all for this long again,, where do i start well i have not really been right after auntie debs passing it has really hit us all hard, then on June the 1st my dad had a minor routine operation which turned out into a major op i wont bore you with the details but he then got a infection a week after and we had to rush him back in which was a awful experience i cant believe I'm 25yrs old and had never phoned a ambulance before until that day, dad had to stay in hospital for 3 days then he came home again where we then turned into nurses for the last 8 weeks, I'm pleased to say my dad is getting there now and virtually back to normal he has another 2 weeks off work but at least he is back driving now. because i have had to take time off work to look after dad work have really not been helpful and i have had to work back the time i have had off hence why i haven't been around if i wasn't looking after dad i was in work!!!!

On a good note i have had quite a few card orders to complete so have been busy with them and at least i have some things to show you, i have also tried my hand at exploding boxes and i have now made two and had a order for another so i must of done well lol

well i will add the photos over the next few days for you comments, just wanted to let you know I'm still here....

Well I'm back now my auntie Debs funeral was this afternoon and what a lovely service and send off it was, it was also heartbreaking to see her 3 children and husband break down but Debs will always be in all our thoughts and will be greatly missed by us all!!! I would like to thank you all for your lovely messages through this sad time and also thanks to Lorraine as not only did i receive the fantastic surprise blog candy i also received a separate thinking of you card which was a lovely thought and meant a lot so thank you!!!

On to a more brighter post

A couple of months ago I arranged a image swap with the lovely Stacey over on the crafting adventures of a left handed blonde blog, well as per usual i made a card wallet and sent the images to Stacey, also posting my brain as well as yet again i forgot to take a pic of my work!!! I emailed Stacey to inform her of my stupidity and Stacey kindly took a photo and emailed me the image so i can show you all my creation Thanks Stacey so here we go my wallet card!

Lots of Birthday's This week so lots of Cards!!!

Well I have been busy making lots of cards for many people, I was asked by my mum's friend to make a special 1st birthday card for her Great grand daughter, the spec was in the night garden theme, pink and cream, that's where I started to panic how do i make a card special I went to pot everything I put together just didn't look right so I finally came up with this I decided as it was for a 1yr old i would try to make a Shaker Card so here it is what do you think??

1st Shaker Card:


Ingredients - c/s: papermill,

The next 3 birthdays were all for the same family, yep they are all in the same week, My mum's best friend Kerrie was the big 40 on St Patrick's day and it was also her daughters 12th birthday, the Tuesday after was Kerrie's other daughters birthday who was 13 this time round!

Kerrie had all her children by Cesarean section and was twice given her birthday as the 1st date the hospital kindly moved it to the week after for the 1st child, but the 2nd child the hospital wouldn't moved the date so its like Christmas all over again!!

A very very Late showing of my Valentine card

Yes ladies and gents I did say valentines card!!! As some of you may know I have recently split up with my boyfriend of 6yrs so why make a valentines card I hear you say??? well a few of my friends have also split up with partners so we are all single again and enjoying it immensely so as this would be the 1st year for a while that we wouldn't receive a card to our knowledge, one of my barmy mates came up with the idea to make a circle of love (yes you heard right) so we each had someone we had to buy for to make sure we all got a card and a little something for valentines day.


So here is the card I made .... i have to say im really impressed with the turn out of this card let me know what you think

I wouldn't mind she only lives 4 houses around the corner but I think she may be coming from Australia it's taken her that long, which also meant my sister didn't get a card in the circle of love although she did get one from a secret admirer which was good!!

I'm back for good i promise

Hi folks, I'm really sorry I haven't been around for a while I have had a lot on at the moment but that is another story, anyway I have been making cards and purchasing craft goodies oops (I am naughty) so this may be a very long post so I apologise in advance just bear with me and keep awake as I always appreciate your comments and opinions and would like to know how I can improve!!



So Here Goes .....



My 1st card is one i made a few months ago for my friend who had recently been made redundant and was struggling to find a job she was seriously prepared to do absolutely anything as she just needed money as she was finding it extremely hard only have one wage coming in and two children to look after, which in this current climate there will be many more people in the same predicament at the mo which is very sad to hear, Well after many interviews for a range of positions Vicky has finally got a job working at Manchester Airport which is some thing she trained in at college a few (i mean many) years ago!!! So congratulations Vicky I'm so pleased for you she doesn't start training till next week but she was prepared to wait,

So here is the card i made:

1st Nappy Cake

This is my 1st nappy cake that i made for a friend at work who was having a girl hence the pink lol, i really enjoyed making it and will definitely be making more in the future.

I'm Back

Hi Folks

Yes i am still alive, and no i have not forgot you, i have been spying on you all from a distance just not had the time to post so i'm sorry i have neglegic you all for so long, i have still been crafting and have lots of things to show you just need to get some time to upload everything!!!

But i will and very soon, i have had a busy time of it with Christmas and New Year but need to get back in the swing of things now!!

Dad was due to go in hospital today for his operation so i booked the week off work took him there, where he was gowned up etc only to find out 4hrs later the operation was being cancelled as they have found my dad has a ear infection the surgeon give the OK to go ahead but the antitheses said no!! so the operation has now been cancelled for the 2ND time!! hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky next time!!

On a happy note I'm going away this weekend for a couple of days to Blackpool for a craft retreat with some of the girls from docrafts! I'm sure we will have a fantastic time and i can't wait to meet them all!!!

Quick Update on my dad!!!

Hi

just a quick note to say my dad is feeling a lot better although he is still in pain, my dad visited the doc the other day who inform him its not a bug he has it could be a number of others things, but the doc thinks he has Gall Stones , the doc wasnt happy with the hospital as they didnt carry out a scan or any of the other tests they could of done, but dad thinks that was due to a+ e being very busy due to a couple of road traffic accidents one being a car which had collied with a bus so you can image the amount of people. Thank you to everyone who left me messages, hopefully i will be posting some cards i have made later on.

Can things get any worse!!!

Well what a week Ive had so far as i mentioned in my earlier post Ive been unwell, well on Monday i went to bed everything was fine until 3am when my dad collapsed and a ambulance was called he was rushed into hospital with severe stomach pains, i have never seen him like that before, well he spent yesterday in hospital on oxygen having monitors attached to him and blood tests to find he has severe gastroenteritis, his stomach and intestines are swollen and he is still in a lot of pain, my dad is now home but still sore but has now started being sick (his 1st time in 35yrs), so I'm hoping he will be OK soon, i didn't think stomach bugs could be so bad.

So there has been very little crafting being done although i have started on my 1st attempt of making a nappy cake for my friend who is having a girl so watch this space.

can i also be cheeky and ask people to express there opinions on the cards i recently posted, i just want to know how I'm doing as I'm still fairly new to card making!

Christening Candle

OK last post for today, I promise

This is my 2nd attempt at candle decorating and I really like this technique I will definitely be making more of these, I forgot to take a pic of my 1st attempt(oops)

I have also forgot to take a pic of the christening card which matches the candle and the 1st birthday card but I have asked my friend to take a photo so hopefully I can update this post soon!!

So here it is:



I used the new forever friend image and printed on to tissue paper it took a few attempts to print it but i got there in the end, I than finished the candle off by placing it in a organza bag, my friend really like the candle and has now asked me to make one for the centre piece for her Christmas table.
